Melissa James-Geska

President

A fourth-generation construction professional, US Ceiling Corp President Melissa James-Geska takes a hands-on approach, setting and defining the vision and culture of our organization and helping oversee estimating, operations and project and business management. Melissa has emerged as an industry leader and was named a Rochester Business Journal (RBJ) Power 30 List honoree for Real Estate and Construction in 2022, an RBJ Circle of Excellence and Excellence in Construction honoree in 2021, an RBJ Women of Excellence honoree in 2018, and shortlisted in 2018 and 2019 as an SBC Business Person of the Year finalist. Because of her tireless leadership, US Ceiling received NYS’ most prestigious honor for M/WBEs in 2018: the Carey Gabay Excellence and Innovation Award. As part of her commitment to her community, Melissa works closely with the Urban League of Rochester in support of their varied initiatives, as well as other local non-profit organizations that help support and empower women and priority populations. She is chairwoman of the Rochester Builder’s Exchange, a board trustee for Young Women’s College Prep and Genesee Valley Club, a board and construction committee member for Flower City Habitat for Humanity, and a board member for RochesterWorks! Melissa is also past president of the Greater Rochester Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction.
